These are not roofs constructed from environmentally friendly materials or solar panels. From jasmine to roesmary, here you will be able to plant everything.

For ages, potted plants have trimed rootops, but this new form of roofing, complete with an one-of-a-kind drainage system, allows plants to actually root. Green roofing allows for many benefits. Above all, cooling needs will be reduced by approximately 25 percent, diminishing the greenhouse effect. Plants can absorb the heat generated from concrete and blacktop.

A flat, black roof is far less tasteful than a rooftop terrace. With a green roof, you have a spot to stop and smell the roses, whether you grow grass, flowers, or brush. Keep an eye out for Summerlin homes going green. For now, green roofing can be found only in the big city.
